Let's take a break from drama
Yep, let’s post something different this time, no more Korean drama. Haha, instead of drama, I would like to share my views on music as well. Because I love Korean drama so much, don’t assume that I like Korean music as well. I listened to every kind of music and I still do love Kpop, but my love just for CN Blue and FT Island. Yeah, I love bands. Instead of watching guys singing and dancing, I like to see guys with instrument. That’s why I love band.
Well, so here I'm not writing about my craziness for CN Blue or FT Island. This time, it's all about our Malaysian music. To be honest, I do love Malaysia’s song more, simply because it’s understandable without the need for translation. Haha....most of it is in Malay and English, so it’s not a problem for me to comprehend. Compared to K-pop music, which I merely dependent on the catchy melody and I need help to know the literal meaning of the song.
So, early in the morning today, I would like to share about my favorite band in Malaysia, Bunkface. I first encountered them when I was in secondary school, probably in 2007 when I first listened to their song Silly Lilly and High School Rockers on the radio. And that time I was like, these guys had a really great song that made it stuck in my head. Until the time when I was in college I then knew the song called Situasi and I thought the song was great. I didn’t know who sang the song but later I found out that it was Bunkface. Huh,I’m actually very happy that they finally sang Malay song anyway. Though in fact Situasi is not their first Malay song. But it's Situasi that made me continue to love them even more. I guess Situasi had also brought a great impact to Bunkface because that song really brought them forward to the mainstream. As indie band, it was a great achievement for them.
Bunkface, they're crazy
Currently, they’re getting much more attention from the public - with their great songs, I really think that Bunkface can go further or expand their wings overseas. Just try to listen to their song, which become more mature as the time goes. They sing about their lives, their hopes and everything that really happened in the world right now. For Malay songs, other than Situasi, I really love all of them which are Revolusi, Extravaganza, Dunia, and the latest on Panik( not so latest one though). English songs, hell yeah that’s a lot, but I love their Bunk Anthem, Soldiers, Prom Queen, ermm.....many more on the list. One song that I’m pretty sure that everyone around my age or younger would know their song Through My Window.
Anyway, I don't expect this entry could be a lengthy one. So why not I just stop here. Maybe next time, I’ll write about other singers as well. Bye-bye and don’t forget to listen to Bunkface!
